Language
The Language section defines how Fenexity writes technical English. It is split into four layers, mirroring the separation between syntax, semantics, and behavior:
- Principles — the nine commitments that guide all FTL writing.
- Writing rules — the specific, checkable rules, split into authoring rules (FTL-Axx, for writing new technical content) and transformation rules (FTL-Txx, for changing existing source material).
- Normative language — the RFC 2119/8174 modality vocabulary.
- General Language — FTL’s controlled vocabulary for ordinary technical English.
- German and English — how the two languages relate at Fenexity.
The Terminology pages define what individual words mean. This section defines how those words are combined into sentences.
